The Ryson Mass Flow Spiral Conveyors are gaining momentum in the bottling industry. Gentle handling of cans, jars and bottles – full or empty, makes it a versatile conveyor perfect for the food and beverage industry.

The design uses the already proven space saving Ryson Spiral technology and utilize an extended in and outfeed conveyor which enables smooth side transfer to and from external conveyors. The standard slat width for the High Capacity Mass Flow Spirals are 10”, 12”, 16” and 20” with capacities of up to 2,000 units per minute. The spirals are available in powder coated carbon steel, stainless steel and wash-down versions.
This year we have sold many mass flow spirals to well known bottlers, canners, and frozen treat manufacturers in several countries. The Mass Flow Spirals easily replace space consuming alpine conveyors or gripper conveyors that need frequent adjustments and maintenance. Space Savings are Multiplied with Multiple Entry Spirals

The robust high capacity design gives Ryson the ability to go taller – and handle more weight, while staying with our proven proprietary modular design. The total weight capacity in the spiral lift at any one time is 3600 lbs. Only one drive motor is required, resulting in substantial savings in energy, controls and system integration. Most models are shipped totally pre-assembled, which will minimize the implementation costs at their destination.

Multiple entry spiral conveyors allow loads to enter the spiral from different elevations. With this option, the high capacity spiral conveyor truly becomes a viable and cost-effective solution for multi-tiered order picking systems or multi-level productions operations.

We recently shipped a 30 foot tall high capacity spiral which was installed in a four-level order picking system at a new grocery distribution center in North Carolina.

Totes and full cases are delivered from all four pick levels to this single spiral. At each level, a high speed induction conveyor will provide controlled entry to the spiral. The load is then conveyed at 150 feet per minute down to the floor level where the orders are consolidated prior to shipping. This solution not only provides considerable space savings, the customer also benefits from optimal operating flexibility with less equipment needed.
